3 Days Tour: Marrakech - ALMHAMID
Day 1 Marrakech, Atlas Mountains – Ait ben Haddou – Ourzazate - Zagora
Starting from Marrakech at 8h00 , the desert tour from Marrakech to tZagora takes about 8 hours where you will pass through the High Atlas as well as many Berber villages . You will also visit the UNESCO Heritage site if Kasbahs of ait Ben Haddou which is a village that originated 12000 years ago and which was an important part of the Salt road . Today it's famous for being a popular location for hollwoo movies and tv series . The famous movies filmed here include Indaina Jones , Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator...ets and the tv series as in Game of thrones season three ... You will have lunch in the picturesque village , where structures are still being used and makes for the perfect opportunity to indulge in local food admist an authentic ancient village . The nezt stop in tour tour will be a visit to Ouarzazate before heading to Zagora crossing from the Atlas Mountains to Agdz the begining of the Draa Valley and its 3 millions palm trees.
Day 2 Zagora - Tamgroute - Mhamid Algizlane
You drive along the Draa valley . Contrast between the luxuriant green valley and its marvelous garden around the palm trees. Arrival to Zagora. After Zagora an amazing village well known for is green pottery and an unforgettable coranic bibliotheque. Arrival for the lunch at M’Hamid the last village of the Draa valley where the road stop to give up the place at the sand dunes. M’Hamid is a mecca for the Sahara culture where Nomades, Berbers and Saharaoui get along with the Desert. At the end of the road you use a unforgetable sandy track between the dunes and wide plains to arrival at the ch’gaga dunes. Overnight in the camp around the fire place and with the blue men’s desert.
Day 3 Mhamid algizlane Back to Marrakech
You leave the camp after a beautiful walk in the dunes for the sunrise. You drive along the dunes and crossing of the dried Iriqui lake which is a mecca for the rallye "Dakar“. You reach the road at Foum Zguid Crossing the Atlas Mountains to arrive back to Marrakech at the end of the afternoon
